Where a conventional oscillating saw depends entirely on the surgeon’s hand, a robot-mounted saw must respond deterministically to the host system — start, stop, and speed changes in milliseconds, with continuous status feedback. The ZL-RobotSaw was designed for exactly this role: it exposes EtherCAT (compatible with KUKA masters), TCP/IP, CAN, and RS485 interfaces, and reports handpiece and driver temperatures to the host in real time.
